Twitter was founded by Jack Dorsey on March 21, 2006. It is launched on July 5 of the same year Twitter has not disclosed the number of users like Facebook. They have kept a secret about the number of users. However, it is thought that this increased the number of Twitter users between 2009 and 2011. January 2009 saw an average of about 2 million tweets per day. Again a year later about 32 million tweets per day. Also in 2011, there were about 200 million tweets per day.
